Many students and staff at Casorso participated in the provincial D.E.A.R. Challenge on Monday, October 26, 2020
What a great way to promote the love of reading! Good job everyone! Congratulations to all the teams that participated in the annual District Battle of the Books. We had 25 schools compete in the online version of this year's Battle. The schools were broken up into two zones. Zone A includes Elementary and Middle Schools with Grade 6 students and Zone B are Elementary Schools that go up to Grade 5. This year Casorso did AMAZING! We are SO PROUD OF YOU ALL!!! Grade 3/4 Team: Kyla, Julianna, Nathan, Keely - 1st Place Grade 5 Team: Callum, Cole, Julian, Lenna - 2nd Place Grade 6 Team: Keaton, Nicholas, Jocelyn, Suzy - 2nd Place Keep calm, the Battle of the Books is still happening, it's just a little different.... This years Battle of the Books will be on May 21, 2020.
10:00 am Grade 3/4 Battle 11:30 am Grade 5 Battle 1:00 pm Grade 6 Battle At specific times on this day, Battle teams will be meeting with their school via Zoom meetings to answer 25 District Battle questions. The school with the most correct questions answered will win the Battle. Results will be announced via Zoom on Friday, May 22nd at 10am. On March 6th the Grade 5 and 6 Spaghetti Bridge Builders had the opportunity to show off their bridges at the Okanagan College Annual Spaghetti Bridge Building Competition. Great job everyone! |
